Mental health charity Mind have just announced the winners of their Student Journalist of the Year Award for journalism which increases the public’s understanding of mental health issues.

The winner is former Student Direct editor and Manchester University student Jennie Agg for her article on her own experiences of suffering from depression while at university.

Also shortlisted were Daniella Graham, of Gair Rhydd (Cardiff University), Laura MacKenzie of Leeds Student and Adam Walmesley of Exepose (University of Exeter) who all deserve congratulations for getting national recognition for their work in student media.
