September’s Publication of the Month is the national website The Student Journals (TSJ).

This is the first time a publication not specifically affiliated with a university has been chosen as POTM – but TSJ is just as good as some of its uni-based competitors.

Edited by Siraj Datoo, a University of Warwick student, the site was set up to provide a national platform for student voices.

It contains serious debate on global issues from a student perspective, such as the Israeli/Palestinian troubles and Libya, alongside reviews, lifestyle advice and careers advice for aspiring journalists.

The site has also been shortlisted for a Guardian Student Media Award.
