Man jailed for ‘brutal, sadistic’ attack on student

Police officerA man has admitted to an unprovoked attack on a student at Aberystwyth University. Joe Landers reports for the Aber Courier:

Steffan King, 18, of Queens Street Aberystwyth, has admitted grevious bodily harm with intent at Swansea Crown Court and has been sentenced to six years custody after admitting an attack on a student at Aberystwyth University.

King attacked zoology student Steven Grimster, 24, and filmed the attack in which the victim’s ankle, collar bone, jaw and teeth were broken. Mr Grimster was discovered by a passer by two hours later in a pool of blood.  Police initially believed, given the blood at the scene, that Mr Grimster was dead.
